Store Your DNA

Two ways to store DNA!

Send DNA off for Coding:
Having the DNA read can save as much as 2-weeks of vital time in providing ultimate information to law enforcement. Kid-ID works with the state-of-the-art labs at the University of North Texas to have the DNA coded and the cost is about the same as annual vaccinations for the family pet - only $49.95. Simply insert the swab into the swab envelope provided. Place the swab envelope along with the signed consent card, in the pre-addressed envelope and mail.

Store in a Cool Dry Place:
While not as reliable as sending the DNA for coding and electronic storage, you can store the sample in a cool, dry place. However, the sample will still need to be coded in the event of an emergency and precious time will be lost as a result.

Do not store in freezer.
