Complete directions for collecting your child's DNA sample will be sent via US Mail once your child's photo and fingerprint information has been received at Kid ID from your local doctor. The process is simple. In fact, all that is required is gently swabbing the inside of your child's cheek to collect the sample. Once collected, the sample is sent to the lab at the University of North Texas. The sample is coded and the information is sent back to you and stored electronically in Kid ID's secure servers.

#1 Remove sterile swab from plastic wrapper by stem-end to prevent contamination. |

#2 Rub the white tip of the swab inside the child's cheek for 15 strokes. |
|
#3 Allow swab to dry on a clean paper towel for 10 minutes. |
|
#4 Do not allow the swab to come in contact with anything (or anyone) else. |

#5 Place the swab into the provided pouch. |
